Amazon Retail Finance seeks an analytical, results-oriented Sr. Financial Analyst Intern to support the Consumables finance team for Japan. “Finance” in Amazon has similarities to 経営企画室・経営戦略本部 (Corporate Strategy & Planning) in Japanese companies in which you own a wide variety of planning and analysis responsibilities.
This intern role acts as a right-hand person of Amazon Business Leaders and support the healthy growth and financial operation. He/she delivers this through detailed financial modeling, driving business initiatives, and identifying/implementing key business indicators. Additional responsibilities include delivering cost and process improvements, performing reviews of forecast vs. actual variances, and communicating with managements and peers business issues and demanding actions. He/she may also have a subordinate to manage, coach and develop.

基本条件
- Currently enrolled in MBA or equivalent master’s level program at the time of application with a graduation date between December 2027 – September 2028
- 3+ years of full-time work experience, prior to starting your MBA program
- 3+ years’ finance experience in an organization with world class processes, or 3+ years’ experience in consulting or financial institution.
- Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and project analysis (example: business modeling), and data interpretation of business impact and results (example: what-if scenarios).
- Business level fluency in English (in both written and verbal format)

- Bachelor’s degree required in finance, economics, mathematics, business or related field
- 5+ years in finance roles with progressively increasing levels of responsibility
- Experience in setting up business cases and driving financial conclusions, strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Superior attention to detail and have the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously, though never losing the big picture out of sight
